WHY EVERY SPEAKER SHOULD LEARN TO SPEAK OTHER LANGUAGES?
Tell me How many languages do you speak? Are you bilingual? Or are you multilingual? Do you have friends from other countries around the globe? Do you often travel abroad? Say, have you ever been to Malaysia? I’m from the Land of Borneo, Malaysia. As Malaysians, we have many different races, cultures and languages. Most of us here speak more than one language. Like any other countries in the world, languages connect us with one another. Yes. Public speaking connects us with one another too. But no matter how powerful public speaking can be to influence, motivate and inspire, languages are the important keys. Without the keys, we can’t open the door. And the connection between languages and public speaking is stronger than you can ever imagine. If a speaker can’t speak the language, the communication between the speaker and the audience will not take place. And speakers who can speak the language shall diminish the barrier between them.
